this is a back Copy – Fantastic back issue of the most read painters TUBES magazine featuring four accomplished artists in the UK. Patrick Blower, Colin Halliday, Ian Norris and Richard Fitton.
This issue is all about pleasure, passion, power and the panache of painting. This is best illustrated with four artists that I had the pleasure of interviewing, Colin Halliday, Richard Fitton, Patrick Blower and Ian Norris.
Manchester High School of Art
I also had the great honour and, dare I say, pride, to open the special exhibition of the Manchester High School of Art ex pupils on January 20th at the Saddleworth Museum and Art Gallery. Pride because it was my old School, and it was great to see the ex-pupils organising themselves to putting this excellent art show forward to the public.
I was also an opportunity to raise, once again, the question of Art and Education for young children in a state run education program. For those that could not attend I have reproduced my ‘talk’ which I sincerely hope will help to generate a much need discussion surround this subject. I hope you enjoy this the first issue of painters Tubes for 2018.
